RhinoShield - Mobile & Protection

How do you redefine device protection as something to care about?

The challenge

Since the growth of the smartphone, the need to protect our tech has become more important for all of us. But when there’s as many phone and laptop cases as there are phones and laptops, how does a device protection brand stand apart from the crowd.

Partnering with RhinoShield; a technology protection company, we worked to define a clear and compelling brand strategy that would differentiate them from the crowded and growing protection market.

Over a six month period, we also refined the product and partnership architecture, naming and employee engagement.

The insight

Just like the phone you choose, the case you choose says a lot about you. In fact, through our research and a series of working sessions, we found that this is exactly the form of self-expression that RhinoShield needed to be apart of.

Unlike other competitors, RhinoShield has two components that really make it a special company; creativity and ingenuity. Through their partnerships with exciting artists, and their patented, chemical material, at the core of RhinoShield is the spirit of creative ingenuity.

The brand had to protect and reflect creative ingenuity.

The solution

The sentiment behind ‘creative ingenuity’ became the foundation for how the brand could express itself. Dialling up the duality, we worked to balance both sides of the brand.

Once defined, the job became much more than a just visual output, RhinoShield partnered with me and the rest of the team to create a cohesive portfolio definition, that included naming and architecture, before engaging all employees in what the new brand means and how to use it.

Hugely proud of the brand we defined, but also the team we empowered to go forward into their next chapter as a business.
